Step into the shark habitat while Discovery Cove’s expert Aquarists conduct a feeding and training session with some of the over 20 sharks that live in the habitat. Learn about the characteristics of these often-misunderstood animals and gain a better understanding of the uniqueness of each shark species and they care they receive at Discovery Cove. For the next portion of your interaction, don a snorkel and mask to enjoy a deep-water, free swim alongside Pacific Blacktip , Nurse, Zebra Whitetip Reef and Bonnethead sharks. Plus, five percent (5%) of the proceeds from the Shark Interaction program supports the Guy Harvey Foundation, which conducts scientific research and hosts educational programs aimed at conserving the marine environment.

Park admission is not included & is required. All participants must be at least 10 years old and comfortable swimming in water. Children ages 10-13 must be accompanied by a supervising companion 14 or older who is also participating in the Shark Swim experience. Please plan to arrive at the check-in cabana 10 minutes prior to your Shark Swim time. Parties of 5 or more guests will be split into 2 sessions.

This experience can be added onto both All-Inclusive Dolphin Swim and Day Resort packages. Please do not book both Animal Trek and Shark Swim to your Discovery Cove package, these two experiences are scheduled to begin at the same time during the day. When booking 3 or more upgrades, please plan to check in no later 7:30am for proper scheduling of your day. If you’re booking less than 3 upgrades, please plan to check in any time before 10:00am.
